Coral Degradation Analysis of the Great Barrier Reef
Project Procedure
We researched and processed remote sensing data to show the physical decay taking place in the Great Barrier Reef due to ocean warming. Using Landsat 8 and Hyperion, we were able to come up with the following procedure to achieve our goal.

Step 1.
Stack all the bands into a single image, save the image as an ENVI (.dat) file.
Step 2.
Correct for atmospheric effects using internal average relative reflectance (IARR).
Step 3.
Using the spectral hourglass wizard (SWH). - Perform a forward minimum noise fraction (MNF) transform.
-Calculate the data dimensionality
-Define the Pixel Purity Index
-Select endmembers
-Classify via spectral angle mapper (SAM) and ISODATA

Step 4.
Perform change detection on the classified images.
